Latin Hits! Yami Safdie & Alejandro Sanz Lead Billboard's New Music List
Argentine singer-songwriter Yami Safdie and Spanish icon Alejandro Sanz collaborate on 'Cuéntame', a love song that stands out for its simplicity and lyrical and musical depth. Safdie's vocal warmth merges with Sanz's interpretative intensity, creating a piece that seeks to explore the connection between two people. The chorus, 'Tell me, what is your plan? What are your dreams?/ Do I happen to fit into any of them?/ There is just so much left for me to know/ Tell me', is a call for intimacy and mutual discovery.

This pop ballad, described as 'an ode to love: eternal, universal, and deeply felt', is the first preview of 'Querida Yo Deluxe', the extended version of Safdie's third album. The launch promises to be a milestone in the artist's career, combining the freshness of her voice with the experience of Sanz, a benchmark of music in Spanish.
Zoé's leader, León Larregui, presents his fourth solo album, 'Manifiesto de un tremendo delirio', a deeply personal work. The common thread is the breakup with his partner and mother of his child, which evolves into a reflection on loss and love. The album features 13 tracks with a sonic elegance that includes electronic touches and hypnotic guitars. The album was produced by Adán Jodorowsky, with collaborators such as Vincent Polycarpe (drums), Victor Mechanik (guitars, synthesizers) and Fabrice Colombani (percussion).

The album includes the single 'Bruma', a sensory ballad, and songs like 'Se Me Va', with a nod to the bolero, and 'Cometas', which addresses social issues. Songs like 'ROTURA' and 'Strainstation' complete an album that marks a milestone in Larregui's career.
Jasiel Nuñez and Ximena Sariñana collaborate on 'Corazonada', a fusion of contemporary pop and regional Mexican sounds. The song brings together very different voices, delivering the romanticism that the lyrics demand. The song opens with Sariñana's voice, giving way to sierreño-style guitars. The melody is joined by a charcheta and other experimental sounds, creating a hybrid. The music video was filmed in Xochimilco, Mexico.

The song explores the danger and attraction of love, with lyrics like 'Being with you smells like danger/ It is well known that love can be harmful/ If the river roars, it surely carries water/ But with her I think it will be worth it'. The collaboration marks a new musical territory for Sariñana, fusing her vocal skills with the sounds of regional Mexican music.
Draco Rosa presents 'Colores de Ayer', a song that explores intimacy and reflection. Anchored in steel guitars and meditative keyboards, the song speaks of an almost sacred intimacy with life. The song poses questions about love and gratitude, painting a poetic scenario. The lyrics 'in a world of chaos, your love is my calm' resonate in a restless environment.

'Colores de Ayer' is the second single from Draco Rosa's upcoming album, 'Olas de Luz', where he continues to create music with enigmatic and spiritual energy.
Melanie Santiler releases 'TODO SE ME DA', her first single of 2024. Co-produced by Javier Sampedro, Yoyi Lagarza and Drumglass, the song is based on an alternative pop sound with a reparto melody. The song is an anthem of empowerment and prosperity, with lyrics like 'Everything comes naturally to me, perfect/ We deserve nothing less, we were born with talent/ Everything comes naturally to me, perfect/ Now I live what was once a dream'.

Santiler, former Billboard On the Radar Latin artist, offers verses to the 'haters' and a strong manifestation of abundance. The song marks her return and reaffirms her position on the music scene.
Edgardo Nuñez and Xavi collaborate on 'Vengache Pa' Aca', an unexpected fusion of regional Mexican and rock and roll. The song combines an intro reminiscent of Elvis Presley's 'Jailhouse Rock' with the accordion, creating a surprising sound. The lyrics invite you to dance, with Xavi's characteristic style: easy to learn and fun. The music video, filmed in a restaurant in Mexico City, captures the atmosphere of the 1950s.

The collaboration is a sample of innovation in regional Mexican music, fusing genres and creating a unique listening experience. The song is an example of how young artists are breaking barriers and exploring new sounds.
Linea Personal presents 'TODO Ø NADA', an album that explores lust and hedonism. The group, based in California, delves into its unstoppable energy, requintos and a sound that breaks borders. Songs like 'Por LA', with Fuerza Regida, and 'Los Cadetes' are odes to debauchery, with references to high fashion. The album also shows a romantic dimension with songs like 'ÜLALA' and 'Ninguna Sabe A Ti'.

With their second album, the band continues to push the corridos tumbados movement, bold and irreverent, with a sound of its own.
The Venezuelan rap group Cuarto Poder returns with 'Nos Fuimos Pa’ La Calle', a tribute to Lennin Pérez, a member of the group and cancer survivor. The song is an emotional tribute and a love letter to Lennin Pérez. The group expressed in an Instagram post: 'Lenin MC has been a cornerstone in our journey as Cuarto Poder… but beyond that, he has been a brother and friend in our lives'.

The song, with piano and trumpet melodies, is imbued with messages of hope and resilience. Lennin raps: 'No matter how difficult it is, you always have to believe'. Cuarto Poder, pioneers in the Venezuelan rap scene, demonstrate their unwavering spirit.
Dairon Gavilan and Anna Bensi team up on 'Mi Tierra', a song that conveys a message of faith and hope. The song, produced and composed by Gavilan, is a melancholic folk song with guitar riffs and a cajón. The lyrics make a statement about faith, hope and resilience amid the political turmoil in Cuba.

Bensi sings: 'I want my land to rise again, to see the sun/ To heal its wounds, to feel no fear/ To follow, step by step, the voice of the Savior/ I want my land to be filled with his love'. Bensi has used social media to speak out against the Cuban regime.
