Canadian singing icon Céline Dion has announced her return to the stage after a six-year absence, prompted by her struggle with stiff-person syndrome (SPS). The artist, celebrating her 58th birthday, confirmed the news through a video posted on her Instagram account. The concerts will take place at the La Défense Arena in Paris, with a capacity of 40,000 spectators, between September 12 and October 14, with pre-sale tickets available from April 7.
Dion expressed her enthusiasm and gratitude towards her followers, thanking them for their unconditional support over the past few years. The news was received with great joy by her fans, who were eagerly awaiting her return. The announcement was accompanied by a special show at the Eiffel Tower, which was illuminated for the occasion, and the song 'Hymne à l’amour' by Edith Piaf, performed by Dion at the opening of the 2024 Paris Olympics, resonated in the venue.
