The music scene in the United Kingdom faces challenges, with the closure of numerous venues, making it difficult for emerging bands to find spaces to perform. In response to this situation, Room 2 has been inaugurated in Leeds, a new venue with a capacity of 100 people, with the aim of providing a platform for local bands to play and build their fan base.

The initiative comes from Mia Jackson and Sav Bowskill, both workers at Slam Dunk Ltd, who identified the need for more spaces for alternative music in Leeds.
The opening of Room 2 is scheduled for April 3, inside The Key Club, an existing venue with a capacity of 300 people, which is managed by the founders of the pop punk festival, Slam Dunk. Originally, the space was used for alternative club nights, but the vision of Jackson and Bowskill led to the conversion into a space dedicated to concerts. The opening night will feature performances by Different State, Lomens, and Until Joy, with tickets at £5.50. In addition, two other concerts are already scheduled for April 10 and April 24.
