In 1995, Kevin Lyman made a decision that defied music industry conventions: to forgo headliners and present all artists alphabetically, with equal billing. Three decades later, the Vans Warped Tour is preparing for its most ambitious edition to date, with two-day festivals in Washington D.C., Long Beach, and Orlando, as well as international debuts in Montreal and Mexico City. This strategy, produced in partnership with Insomniac Events, reflects a long-term vision for artist development.
The 2026 festival will feature over 100 artists from various genres, including rock, pop punk, alternative, emo, hip-hop, and ska, as well as action sports athletes. Lyman has adopted an innovative approach to the lineup announcement, revealing artists individually through Warped's social platforms over a 30-day period, instead of a mass announcement, each band receives a minimum of 80,000 views on their announcement videos.
