Emerging Artists: Las Posada, Odalys Velasco, and Others on the Radar

These artists, not yet integrated into the mainstream, are presented in the 'On Our Radar' section. The most recent edition highlights talents discovered in various settings, from Spotify playlists to musical showcases.

This initiative seeks to introduce readers to artists who are beginning to make an impact in the music industry.

Adria Ibau, from Guatemala, was discovered at CAMM (Centroamérica Mercado Musical), where she participated in a songwriting camp. Her voice and charisma have led her to share the stage with renowned artists. Recently, she opened a concert for Il Volo in Guatemala, demonstrating her talent on stage.

Her single 'Sin poder nadar' is a sample of her style, which fuses dreamy pop and jazz-funk.

Carmen Ferre, a young Spanish singer-songwriter, has gained recognition in her country and beyond. Her talent caught the attention of Olga Tañón, who invited her to sing with her after seeing a viral video. Ferre began playing the guitar at an early age and participated in several television programs before signing with Sound Blaster Records in 2024.

Her collaboration with Olga Tañón on 'Lo bonito' is a highlight in her career.

La Coreañera, born in San Antonio, Texas, and raised in a multicultural environment, fuses Korean and Mexican influences in her music. Her mastery of Spanish and her skill on the accordion distinguish her. She has participated in festivals such as Vive Latino and SXSW, gaining recognition for her unique style.

Her song 'Mariposas' is one of the most outstanding.

Las Posada, a duo formed by sisters Diana and Laura Posada, fuse mariachi, pop, and Colombian music. They have gained popularity in Mexico, Chile, Peru, and Colombia. Their music celebrates female strength and addresses themes of love and heartbreak. The sisters express: “Today our music has a clear purpose: to inspire women to go for their dreams, regardless of age, life stage, economic position, or if they already have children”.

Their EP 'Con El Alma' is currently being promoted.

Odalys Velasco, known for her presence on social media, debuted in music with the single 'Levitando'. Her style fuses tropical sounds with afrobeats. Her song 'Cartagena', released through Golden Ink Entertainment and distributed by Virgin Music US Latin, highlights her voice and energy. Velasco has released six singles to date, consolidating herself in the music scene.
