Zendaya to 'Disappear' After 2026: Five Films and 'Going Into Hiding'

The Emmy Award winner will star in five hefty projects coming out in 2026.

First, she'll star in 'The Drama', which premieres on April 3, and a little over a week later, on April 12, the long-awaited third season of 'Euphoria' will debut.

Zendaya will then have about three months off before Christopher Nolan’s 'The Odyssey' hits theaters on July 17.

Two weeks later, on July 31, the highly anticipated fourth 'Spider-Man' film starring Tom Holland will come out.

And to close out the year, Zendaya will star in the third 'Dune' film, which is slated for a December 18 release.

With so many projects on her plate this year, Zendaya told Fandango she hopes that "people don't get sick of me" and that she jokingly plans on "going into hiding for just a little bit" after the films and show have all released.

"I really appreciate everyone who supports any of the movies or supports my career in any kind of way," she said.

"I’m deeply appreciative, and like I said, I just hope you guys don’t get sick of me this year, because, I’ll tell you what, I’m disappearing for a little bit. I’m going to have to go into hiding for just a little bit."

While Zendaya may plan on stepping away from the spotlight after 2026, she will re-enter the press cycle in the summer of 2027 to promote 'Shrek 5'.

The film arrives on June 30, and she will voice Felicia, Shrek’s daughter, as Mike Myers (Shrek), Eddie Murphy (Donkey) and Cameron Diaz (Fiona) return.

The diversity of Zendaya's projects in 2026 showcases her versatility as an actress.

From drama to superhero films and science fiction, the actress demonstrates her ability to adapt to different roles and genres.

Collaborations with renowned directors and the return to acclaimed series ensure an exciting year for fans.

Zendaya's announcement to take a break after 2026 underscores the intense demand and pressure faced by actors in the entertainment industry.

The need to "go into hiding" reflects the desire to preserve privacy and avoid burnout after years of constant work.

This break will allow her to recharge and return with new projects in the future.
