Celine Dion Announces Paris Concerts After Triumphant Comeback

The iconic singer Celine Dion has announced her return to the stage with a series of concerts in Paris, celebrating her birthday at Café de l’Homme overlooking the Eiffel Tower. This announcement marks a significant moment in her career, following her recent appearance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The news has generated great excitement among her fans, who have been eagerly awaiting her return.

During the celebration, a video message from Dion was broadcast, expressing her gratitude and excitement to perform for her fans again. The concerts, produced by Concerts West, AEG Presents, and Inter Concerts, promise to include her most beloved hits in both French and English, a tribute to the songs that have defined her remarkable career.

The concerts will be held at the Paris La Défense Arena, marking her first series of live shows since stepping away from the spotlight in 2022. The concert series is scheduled to begin in September, with specific dates including September 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, and 30, and October 3, 7, 10, and 14. This series of concerts represents a major milestone in Dion's recovery, who has been battling Stiff Person Syndrome.

The anticipation for these concerts grew in the days leading up to the announcement, with posters featuring titles of her iconic songs appearing in Paris and rehearsals at the Eiffel Tower.

Dion retreated from performing after revealing her diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological autoimmune disorder that affects mobility and vocal ability. Her struggle was documented in the 2024 documentary “I Am: Celine Dion”, directed by Irene Taylor. Her performance at the Olympics, where she performed Édith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’amour,” had already sparked rumors of a comeback.

Before the Olympics, Dion had expressed her desire to “be the best I can be” and her goal to “see the Eiffel Tower again.” The artist has been working with a medical team to recover and return to the stage.

Artist pre-sale will begin on Tuesday, April 7 at 10:00 AM Central European Time. Fans can register for access to the pre-sale through Fair AXS until Thursday, April 2 at 7:00 PM CEST. Visa, a premium partner of the concerts, will offer Visa cardholders exclusive early access to tickets, starting Wednesday, April 8 at 10:00 AM CET through Thursday, April 9 at 11:59 PM CET.

General ticket sales will begin on Friday, April 10 at 10:00 AM CET. A limited number of “Ticket and Hotel Experience Packages” and exclusive Celine Dion VIP packages will also be available.

On social media, Celine Dion wiped her Instagram account, preparing the ground for this new chapter. Posters with the titles of her most iconic songs appeared in Paris on March 23, and a video of the rehearsals at the Eiffel Tower was shown overnight, displaying messages like “Celine Dion” and “Paris, I’m ready”.

France Télévisions also fueled speculation before the announcement, promising an announcement related to Dion on Monday evening. Fans can expect an unforgettable experience with the return of the legendary singer.
