Tottenham Hotspur has announced the departure of Igor Tudor as interim manager after only 44 days in charge.

Tudor was appointed in February on a short-term deal, following the sacking of Thomas Frank.

The North London club was 16th in the Premier League, five points above the relegation zone, when Frank lost his job.

Any hope that Tudor would transform the club was quickly dashed, with the Croatian manager losing five of his seven matches.

This dismal run saw Tottenham slip just one place and one point above the relegation zone.

The club issued an official statement announcing Tudor's departure.

The club's statement read: 'We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect'.

Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci, the Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach respectively, have also left their roles.

The club thanked Tudor, Rogic, and Ragnacci for their efforts over the past six weeks.

The statement added: 'We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time'.

An update on a new Head Coach will be provided in due course.
