Golf legend Tiger Woods has announced he will be taking time away to seek treatment and focus on his health after pleading not guilty to DUI following a car accident in Florida.
The incident occurred last week when his Range Rover collided with a truck near his home on Jupiter Island. Officers observed that Woods had 'bloodshot and glassy' eyes and 'extremely dilated' pupils.
In addition, the police report indicated that the golfer was 'sweating profusely' and was 'lethargic and slow'.
Woods was also in possession of two hydrocodone pills, a prescription opioid used to treat severe chronic pain.
In his statement, Woods claimed not to have consumed alcohol and registered zero on a breath test, although he refused to provide a urine sample. The golfer appeared in court on Tuesday, through his lawyers, and requested a jury trial.
