This achievement places him in an elite group alongside Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, marking a milestone in the history of world tennis.

Jannik Sinner has become only the third player in ATP history to win three consecutive Masters 1000 titles. The first of these triumphs was at the 2025 Paris Masters, where he defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final. Earlier this month, Sinner won his second consecutive title by defeating Daniil Medvedev at Indian Wells for the first time. At the Miami Open, Sinner completed his hat-trick, demonstrating his exceptional level of play.

Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are the only other players who have managed to win three consecutive Masters 1000 titles, with Nadal and Djokovic even achieving four consecutive Masters titles in their careers.

In 1991, Jim Courier was the first male player to complete the Sunshine Double. Courier won Indian Wells, defeating Guy Forget in the final. That same month, Courier completed the historic feat by defeating David Wheaton in the Miami Open final. A year later, Michael Chang became the second player to achieve the Sunshine Double.

Since then, six other players have completed this feat, including Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Aryna Sabalenka won the Sunshine Double in women's singles, while Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini did so in women's doubles.
