Chelsea in Crisis? Gallas Urges Club to Snub Fàbregas & Hire a Tough Manager

William Gallas has expressed his concern about Chelsea's current situation, anticipating that Liam Rosenior's time at the club may be coming to an end. Despite a promising start, the team has faced difficulties, leading Gallas to advise against hiring Cesc Fàbregas, his former teammate at Arsenal, as a possible replacement. Gallas suggests that Rosenior's inexperience could be a determining factor in his possible dismissal.

Chelsea has suffered five defeats in their last seven matches, including an 8-2 aggregate defeat against PSG in European competitions, in addition to losing ground in the race for Champions League qualification. The 3-0 defeat to Everton exposed the deficiencies of Rosenior's team, leading Gallas to question the decision to hire a young and inexperienced coach.

Speaking to football odds, Gallas pointed out that "With Chelsea's owners, anything can happen." He expressed his disappointment at the defeat to Paris Saint-Germain and Everton, emphasizing the need to find a solution in the upcoming match against Port Vale in the FA Cup. Gallas added: "It was really difficult to accept the result against Paris Saint-Germain. A 8-2 loss is very hard to take and then they lost 3-0 to Everton."

Gallas also speculated about the club owners' possible search for a new coach, suggesting that they might be reconsidering Rosenior's hiring. Despite this, he considers it would be detrimental to dismiss Rosenior before the end of the season, although he warns that a defeat to Port Vale could be decisive for his future at the club.

Gallas emphasized the importance of the match against Port Vale, a League One team struggling to avoid relegation to League Two. According to Gallas, a defeat to this team would be a disaster for Chelsea and would seal Rosenior's fate as coach. "If they have a bad result against Port Vale, that would be the end for the manager," Gallas stated.

Despite considering that it would not be ideal to dismiss Rosenior before the end of the season, Gallas acknowledged that a defeat to Port Vale could generate frustration among the fans. However, he was confident that Chelsea will achieve a resounding victory at Stamford Bridge.

Faced with the possibility of a new coach search by Chelsea's owners, Gallas believes that the temptation to appoint Fàbregas, who has been successful with Como in Italy, would be difficult to resist. However, Gallas believes that Chelsea would benefit more from a coach with greater experience.
