Emergency services responded to a horrific crash in Garthorpe, where a car left the road and collided with a tree. The accident occurred on Saturday evening. A white Audi TT traveling south along Shore Road, between Garthorpe and Meredyke Road, was the vehicle involved. Five people were in the car, and the impact caused the deaths of three of them.

The driver, a 44-year-old man, the front-seat passenger, a 48-year-old man, and the 13-year-old girl who was in the back seat were pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident and how the car left the road in this rural area.
