Trump Pushes Forward with White House Ballroom, Claims No Taxpayer Money Used

Donald Trump has responded to a federal judge's order to temporarily halt the construction of the ballroom at the White House, stating that he will appeal the decision. Trump argues that congressional approval is not required since the project is being funded by private donations and not by taxpayer money.

The former president emphasized that the ballroom will be financed by "very rich companies, very rich people," who have desired this space for 150 years. According to Trump, this will be the finest ballroom in the world, at no cost to taxpayers.

"Presidents for 150 years have wanted this ballroom to be built. Because when we have President Xi or other presidents or prime ministers coming, we don't have a big room. We have the East Room, which is very small," Trump explained.

Trump defended the enhanced security measures of the ballroom, which include bulletproof glass, secure air-handling systems, biodefense systems, secure telecommunications, bomb shelters, a hospital, and a major medical facility. In contrast, he criticized the judicial directive, claiming that the White House itself does not have bulletproof glass due to its outdated construction.

The president proudly pointed out the security measures implemented, highlighting that they surpass those existing in the White House itself.
