Podemos Andalusia Consults Members on United Candidacy for Elections

Podemos Andalusia has convened a consultation with its members to endorse the construction of a united candidacy for the regional elections on May 17. The consultation aims to empower the leadership to reach agreements and participate in the broadest possible candidacy. The decision was made at the Executive of Podemos Andalusia, which unanimously approved the party's willingness to join the Por Andalucía candidacy.

The consultation opened on Tuesday, March 31, at 5:00 p.m. and ended on Wednesday, April 1, at 5:00 p.m., two days before the deadline for registering coalitions with the Electoral Board. Members answered the question: "Are you in agreement with Podemos Andalusia seeking the necessary agreements to achieve the broadest and most united possible candidacy for the upcoming Andalusian elections?" Podemos Andalusia urged high participation, as stipulated in its statutes.

The initiative seeks a coalition for the May 17 elections. The state leadership, represented by the Organization Secretary, Pablo Fernández, has also shown its support for this initiative. The internal consultation is a crucial step to ensure the unity of political forces in the run-up to the Andalusian elections.

The urgency of the consultation is due to the short time frame for registering coalitions, with only four days remaining before the legal deadline for the registration of coalitions.

IU expressed skepticism about Podemos' shift in Andalusia, stating that "a press conference is not a negotiation table". The party seeks a strategy to unify political forces. The consultation of the members is a strategic step to ensure unity and internal cohesion of the party.
