King Charles III and Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom are set to visit Washington in late April, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Tuesday. The visit aims to celebrate the bilateral relationship between the UK and the US, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of American independence this year.

Their Majesties' program will seek to honor the historic connections and the modern bilateral relationship between both countries. This State Visit comes at the invitation of the President of the United States and on the advice of His Majesty's Government.

The State Visit will take place from April 27 to 30. Donald Trump confirmed on TruthSocial that the visit will include a gala dinner at the White House on the evening of April 28.

This will be King Charles III's first State Visit to the United States since ascending to the throne in 2023. Before being crowned, the King visited the United States 19 times.

The King and Queen's visit to Washington follows Donald Trump's visit to the United Kingdom in September, where he attended a State dinner at Windsor Castle.
