Beyond The Music 2026: Salford to Host Music Conference

The third edition of the Beyond The Music conference and festival will be held at MediaCity, Salford, from October 7-9, 2026. This event will bring together leading figures from music, culture, technology, and politics.

The change of venue and new dates mark a significant milestone, consolidating Salford's position as a key hub in the UK's music and cultural industry.

Greater Manchester has hosted major events such as the 2026 BRIT Awards and the MOBO Awards at the Co-op Live venue. The BRIT Awards, for example, had never been held outside of London before, and Salford will also host the 50th-anniversary edition in 2027.

These events highlight the region's growth and importance in the music scene, attracting audiences and professionals from around the world.

Beyond The Music will utilize the MediaCity campus, including dock10 Media City studios and various iconic Salford music venues. The program will feature keynote conversations, industry showcases, networking opportunities, and cross-sector partnerships.

The event will coincide with Salford's centenary celebrations, honoring the 100th anniversary of the Royal Charter that granted Salford city status. Andy Burnham, the mayor of Greater Manchester, will host the All Content AI Summit, bringing together leaders and policymakers from all content industries.

The summit will focus on aligning a shared position on rights and integrity in AI, demonstrating the region's commitment to responsible innovation.

The event will benefit from the multipurpose spaces across the campus, studios, and the adjoining Quayside shopping centre, with several shows to be held at existing Salford venues. Tickets are on sale now, including the Pay It Forward scheme, which seeks to maximize accessibility for those looking to advance their careers in the music industry.
