Stuck in Chaos? A Meditation to Regain Control and Find Calm
We often treat restlessness and uncertainty as problems to solve, but meditation offers us a pause.

Cheryl Vigder Brause, a mindfulness expert, guides a practice to find ourselves in the present.

This practice allows us to make conscious decisions and respond to the world with clarity.
It starts by arriving in the present moment, letting go of the rush.

A comfortable posture is sought, whether sitting or lying down, with eyes closed or a soft gaze.

Slow, deep breathing is emphasized, feeling how the body relaxes.
In this moment, there is nothing to achieve or fix.

You are invited to rest in the fullness of the moment, noting what is present.

You are encouraged to recognize sounds, sensations on the skin, and contact with the body.
It is proposed to relax the body, paying attention to areas of tension.

You are invited to breathe into those areas, releasing tension with each exhalation.

With each inhalation, space and openness are created.
In modern life, stress and anxiety are common; meditation offers a pause.

Regulating the nervous system improves health, sleep, digestion, and concentration.

It helps make wise decisions.
How do you feel? Recognize your emotional state.

Return to your breath, noticing its movement in the body.

It is not necessary to change your breathing, just observe it.
Imagine that with each inhalation, you calm your body; with each exhalation, you relax.

Allow your mind to wander; it's normal and okay.

Each time the mind is distracted, it is an opportunity to practice mindfulness.
Allow yourself to feel gratitude for participating in the meditation.

Accept your experience with kindness.

Repeat: 'What if it's not a problem?'
Offer gentle phrases to yourself, such as 'May I be kind to myself'.

Take a deep breath and feel your body calm.

Every moment is an opportunity to practice and start again.
