Netflix Expands in Poland with New Warsaw Office

The new Netflix office in Warsaw, located in the heart of the city, houses 300 staff members across various departments, including content, engineering, marketing, global affairs, communications, finance, and talent.

This expansion reflects the company's significant growth in Poland since opening its first office in 2022 and establishing its dedicated technology hub the following year.

The company plans to continue expanding its team in the coming years, focusing on infrastructure, gaming, and production technology.

Greg Peters, co-CEO of Netflix, visited the new office and expressed his pride in the company's achievements in Poland over the last decade.

Peters highlighted the country's outstanding creative talent and the collaborative work with partners to bring the best Polish stories to audiences across Central and Eastern Europe.

He also emphasized the innovation of Netflix engineers in Warsaw, who support the creation, management, and delivery of films and series to over 500 million people worldwide.

Netflix's Polish slate for 2026 includes 'The Doll', a fresh adaptation of a Polish classic, 'Less of a Stranger', a biopic of Polish rock legend Jan Borysewicz, and 'Anesthesia', Netflix’s first Polish medical procedural drama.

Also on tap is the third season of the hit comedy '1670', as well as the first Polish edition of 'Love Is Blind'.

These projects demonstrate Netflix's commitment to producing local content and diversifying its offerings.

Since its launch in Poland in 2016, Netflix has produced and licensed over 700 films and series in the country, with more than 80 original productions.

The company has contributed over 3 billion Polish zlotys ($800 million) to Poland's GDP, collaborating with over 40 production companies and generating over 5,000 jobs for cast and crew, as well as 14,000 roles for extras and day hires.

These numbers reflect the significant impact of Netflix on the Polish entertainment industry and the country's economy.

Netflix's first original title in Poland was the conspiracy thriller '1983', directed, among others, by Agnieszka Holland.

Other notable titles include the popular comedy '1670' by emerging screenwriter Kuba Różyłło, the film 'Forgotten Love', based on an iconic Polish intellectual property, the dramas 'Heweliusz' and 'High Water' from the creative team of Jan Holoubek, Kasper Bajon, and Anna Kępińska, and the action thriller 'Inside Furioza'.

Over 60 Polish titles have appeared in Netflix's global weekly top 10 lists across both film and television.

The streaming service has invested in skills and talent development programs in collaboration with partners such as the Polish Producers Alliance and the Polish Film Institute, the New Horizons Association and the Łódź Film School, reaching over 1,300 participants.

This initiative demonstrates Netflix's commitment to the growth of the Polish entertainment industry and support for local professionals.

The company seeks to strengthen its presence in Poland through investment in content, technology, and talent.
