Sources close to the BBC suggest that Miranda Hart is in secret talks to replace Claudia Winkleman as presenter on the show 'Strictly Come Dancing'. The departure of Winkleman and Tess Daly last year has opened the door to a new presenting duo, and Hart, a comedy star, could be the ideal choice.

The source, who spoke to The Sun, indicated that BBC executives are looking for someone with a sense of humor similar to Winkleman's. The source described Hart as 'a massive coup' and added that she is one of the few people in the entertainment world who is widely known and recognized only by her first name.
Hart, who participated in the show in 2024 to support her friend Sarah Hadland, shares a similar sense of humor to Claudia Winkleman, according to the BBC bosses. The news comes at a time of change for the show, with the departure of several professionals. Outgoing presenter Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly announced their departure from the show last year, making series 23 their last season together, although they returned for a Christmas special that same year.
Other names like Zoe Ball, Alan Carr and Alex Jones have also been considered for the position.
