Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout, and Arabella Stanton, the three young lead actors in the new 'Harry Potter' television series, are set to receive a staggering payday.

These young actors, fresh out of primary school, beat over 30,000 hopefuls to secure the roles of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger in HBO's adaptation.

The reboot's trio succeeds Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, who were catapulted to unprecedented stardom as youngsters in J.K. Rowling's wizarding franchise.

According to a TV insider, the young stars are certain to be the envy of all their friends, as they're getting £500,000 for the first season alone. This means they are getting upwards of £60k per episode, as the first season, 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone', will have eight episodes.

The source added: 'It’s a lot of money for young kids to be handed overnight, but they’re about to become three of the most famous children in the world.'

The series will premiere at Christmas 2026, which is earlier than expected, as it was thought to be coming several months later in 2027.

Daniel Radcliffe, who played the titular character, was reportedly paid £1 million for the first film at the tender age of 12. By the final two films, he had made £37.5 million.

Emma Watson, for her part, was reportedly paid £49 million for the entire film franchise, with £24 million of that coming from the last two films. Rupert Grint made £21 million playing Harry's best friend, Ron.

Daniel Radcliffe has amassed a fortune of £96 million, while Emma Watson has a fortune of £67 million.

The 'Harry Potter' film series, running from 2001 to 2011, was incredibly lucrative, grossing $7.7 billion (£5.8 billion) in total at the box office against a budget of $1.2 billion (£904 million) for the eight movies.

The final installment, 'Deathly Hallows – Part 2', is among the 50 highest-grossing films of all time, having raked in $1.3 billion (£979 million) alone.

This followed the success of the original books, which have sold over 600 million copies worldwide and are the best-selling book series in history.

J.K. Rowling, author of the saga, is involved as an executive producer in the series, which has generated controversy due to her anti-trans comments. The former lead stars have sent their support to the children now stepping into their wizarding cloaks and picking up the wands.

Daniel Radcliffe commented: 'They just seem so young. I just look at them and say, “Oh, it’s crazy I was doing that at that age.” But it’s also incredibly sweet, and I hope they’re having a great time.'

The 'Harry Potter' television series will arrive on HBO at Christmas 2026.
