David Haye Teases a 'Saucier' Season on 'I'm A Celebrity: South Africa'

David Haye, known for his boxing career, returns to the 'I'm A Celebrity' reality show for a second chance in the jungle. The athlete, who placed third in the 12th season of the show, anticipates that this time the experience could be 'saucier'.

Haye, who competed in the Australian edition, expressed that he expects more conflicts and interesting situations in the South African camp, under the watchful eye of hosts Ant and Dec. The 45-year-old boxer has stated that he is not afraid of the challenges and is prepared to face any situation that arises.

The boxer, who came in third place in the original competition, claims he is more prepared for this new experience. Haye is not intimidated by the physical trials awaiting him in South Africa, comparing the challenges to the punches he received in his professional career. He assures that the trials in Australia were not so demanding for him and that he is ready for whatever comes.

In addition, Haye is not concerned about the camp diet, mentioning that he is used to maintaining a caloric deficit due to his boxing career.

The father of one child, who practices polyamory, also looks forward to the digital isolation that the show offers. Haye describes 'I'm A Celebrity' as a digital detox retreat, where he can disconnect from constant technological connections and focus on reflecting on his life.

The former boxer emphasizes the importance of this time of disconnection to think about different aspects of his life, relationships, and future plans. The 'I'm A Celebrity: South Africa' edition returns to ITV in April.
