Actress Ellie Dadd, 21, who plays Amy Mitchell in the popular BBC One series, EastEnders, suffered prolonged harassment from Cora Upple, also 21, who was eventually sentenced to 18 months in prison.

The harassment began in 2024, with hundreds of social media messages directed at Dadd, leading to a restraining order and a nine-month suspended sentence.

Despite the order, Upple continued her behavior, this time directing her actions toward Dadd's mother, Nicole Gibberd, which resulted in a new conviction and the extension of the restraining order until March 2031.

The situation generated a state of fear in Ellie Dadd, who felt threatened and sought help from the authorities to end the harassment.

Alban Brahimi, prosecutor in the case, noted that although fan attraction is understandable, Upple's obsession went beyond the limits, focusing her attention not only on Dadd's character but also on her personal life.

Upple's actions were considered deliberate, as she violated the conditions imposed, including following and tagging Ellie Dadd and her family members.

The 81-week prison sentence and the extension of the restraining order until 2031, demonstrate the seriousness with which the case was taken.

The actress, who joined EastEnders in 2022, has played an important role in the series, playing Amy Mitchell, the daughter of Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).
